Cheque presented to Blaehonddan Community Council for new sign

Friends of the Owain Glyndwr Community Centre at Waunceirch, South Bryncoch, presented a cheque to the new clerk of the council, Roland Lanchbury,  to cover the replacement of the original exterior sign of the building, damaged by vandals.    The original sign is pictured on the right.

The money was raised at the evening show with Max Boyce who appeared on a complementary basis on the understanding that any suplus cash would go towards another sign for the Glyn Neath Boys' Club.

Roland Lanchbury replaces Mavis Hewitt who resigned as clerk to the council at the end of last year.

Roland, who lives at Alltwen Pontardawe, has gained much experience as clerk to the Cilybebyll Community Council and administrator for their well run community website - see the screen shot below.
