Chess Club season starts well at Cilfrew

The chess season has started well for Castell Nedd.  The club meets every Tuesday evening at Cilffriw Primary School.  The first team, the Emperors, have won their opening two matches in Division Two of the West Wales Chess League, 4-1 and 5-0.  The photographs show first team players in action.  Hywel Griffiths (the top board) and Steve Smith think about their moves against Woodmen B (West Cross); and veteran Dennis Thomas sits back whilst contemplating his next move on bottom board.
