Cost of effective road signs

It can be revealed that Cllr Janice Dudley has been asked to get information on the cost of signs like the one illustrated.   It is a fact that road signs that light up when exceeding the spped limit are very effective as they bring the attention to the driver of the speed of the vehicle.  

Sudden realisation of speed enables the driver to focus his attention in a way not done by any others means.    Cllr Dudley has also been asked to find out the approximate cost of installing each sign.   Once the cost is known future budgets can be worked out for a rolling programme in areas where they can be of benefit.
