Remembrance Sunday

We hope that our photos will capture how Remembrance Sunday was remembered in Neath. As said many times before, a picture is better than a thousand words.

Christmas Lights Switch On

The Mayor of NPT will switch on Neath Christmas lights on Friday, 16th November, 2012  at the Angel Square at 6:30pm. (Gemma Nesbitt has written in to say its 5:30pm)    There will also be a Christmas parade as part of the celebrations.   We look forward to seeing a very colourful Neath this coming Christmas.

Gemma Nesbitt adds: "Live entertainment including rides, music and refreshments will be available throughout the evening. The Christmas Grotto in Zoars Ark will open on Saturday and will be open every Saturday and Sunday from 17th November until Sunday 23rd December."

The Butterflies Scene

It seems we gone from stage shows at the former Swansea Empire of men dressed up as women to real live presentations at the Brangwyn Hall in Swansea.   On this website you can read why the ATN Neighbourhood Watch Association has a stall at this event.   The Association co-ordinates the neighbourhood watch schemes in in Neath and Port Talbot.
Hate crime against various groups is one of the many considerations of the Association on the basis that hate crime can sometimes lead to violence.    Tolerance and understanding is a key factor with the Association at their promotional appearances.

ATN Neighbourhood Watch Website Launched

The SWEP Neath's edition printed a belated photograph of the launch of the Association's website with the Mayor of Neath and the High Sheriff of West Glamorgan with the website designer.  Our menu takes you straight to the website.

What's in a name?

Most family surnames are associated with a Coat of Arms.   Our researchers are finding out more about names and what is behind them.    We feel that many of our readers are due for a big surprise.

Strictly Neath - dancing of course

A Christmas tea dance comes to Neath.   Let's hope that this will be a great success and that it came become a regular event.

Police and Crime Commissioners

The elections on 15th November have been dealt with in previous editions and on the Neath Ferret website which deals with controversial issues - so we now wait to see what happens.
