Silent footage produced for Neath Borough Council of the Mayor's Procession c 1940

This is a clip from a video issued by the Imperial War Museum that features Neath in 1918 and the visit by Lloyd George.

An incredibly sharp film of Lloyd George visiting Neath in 1918 to receive the Freedom of the Borough.  British Film institute archive.

A similar newsreel by Pathe Gazette not quite as good quality

An interesting montage of the past and present by Simon Warren found on you tube

Another little video by our friends at the fyineath website. Whilst it is now a little dated is a good condensation of Neath Town.

Not forgetting the upper end of 'our patch' - here is another interesting montage of photographs taken from one of the books by the noted Glyn Davies of Cwmgwrach.

We all know Church Place, where the NMI is situated and is ther HQ and archive of the Neath Antiquarian Society. It is a lilttle oasis of the Victorian Age with most of it unaltered to the extent that it can be used as a film location. Posted by that exceptional photographer and video producer Mike Davies.

Not all buildings last for centuries in fact this one for even less than than fifty years. This video of the demolition of the Magistrates Court on the corner of Water Street and Fairfield Way is by Neale Howells.

A Pathe Newsreel for the (Lord?) Mayor's Ceremony 1937
