Ok, this isn't a craft event, but if you are in Portree on these dates you've just got to visit the Skye Highland Games to watch traditional sports such as tossing the caber and hammer throwing.  You can also hear pipers and other musicians competing for prizes.  It is always entertaining with kilts galore and plenty of family fun to be had all afternoon.
