An amazing coincidence happened today. Lins and I were talking about our family - ancestors - yesterday evening and I said I wanted to find out more about our grandparents' lives. I asked if she could unearth Granddad's date of birth. Apparently Richard's got loads of family documents stashed away somewhere.

This morning there was a letter from Genes Reunited, asking me to respond to a Mary Laidlaw, who was trying to find out about a Ralph Laidlaw (my grandfather) and his side of the family. I only learned last night that Granddad had siblings! So I've written back to ask who she is. Can't wait to find out. I think that's an amazing coincidence.
