Need a Locksmith in Warrington ?
Heres Some Questions To Ask.

When your looking for a Locksmith in Warrington its probably the first time you have needed one and unfortunately because there is no registration or licensing of Locksmiths in the UK at present we have heard of some horror stories of customers some vulnerable being ripped off by unscrupable people calling themselves locksmiths.
So heres a few questions that we recommend you ask before booking them to do work at your property.
- Explain what your lock problem is and ask for a quote. If the person answering the call is unable to answer this question to your satisfaction then its likely your speaking with a call centre which overall is going to cost you more money as they will leave it to the locksmith attending to then charge you.
- Is there a call out charge ? Is there a charge for parts and do you charge vat ? You want an idea of total cost involved we have heard of some customers being charged a call out fee for someone to turn up at their door to then say they cant do the job but still charge for a call out.
- If your satisfied with the answers to the first two questions and decide to book them ask for an eta and try and have someone with you when they arrive (as a witness) then on arrival ask for confirmation of the total price before you allow work to start. If your not happy with the price on your doorstep then politely ask them to go away.
- Always make a note of the number and company you called and ask for a reciept for any work completed so that if you need to claim on any guarantee you will know who to contact.
We hope this helps you to come to a better decision when calling a locksmith and if you would like to ask us any questions you are welcome by email on lockkeys@hotmail.co.uk or call Pam or Derek direct on our mobile number 07967 778940.
