We often get asked how do locksmiths keep themselves updated ? Derek our Birchwood Locksmith explains that he keeps himself updated by networking with other locksmiths through whatsapp and other groups, locksmith journals and by attendance at lock exhibitions.
One of the largest lock exhibitions was in held in October 2023 at the International Centre, Telford, Shropshire. It gave Derek and Pam the opportunity to network with lock manufacturers, distributors and lock tool inventors and of course look at the new locks coming onto the market.
One of the stands we visited was Jackloc who produce window restrictors of a very high quality and strength which are designed to prevent falls from windows. These window restrictors are used in both commercial and residential settings and the Jackloc brand is probably the best on the market at present.
