Anti Snap Locks What You Need To Know

When looking for anti-snap locks our Birchwood customers need to know the following to help make the right decision. Although some manufacturers may describe their locks as anti snap or snap resistant not all have been specifically designed or manufactured to withstand a snapping attack so heres what you should be looking for.
Only 3 Star Euro Cylinder locks have been designed to withstand a snapping attack so you need to be looking for a british standard kite mark together with 3 stars. The picture above shows what appears to be the same lock however only the 3 star cylinder is what we would call anti snap and of the 3 star cylinders the daimond grade cylinder is the highest security level in the UK at the moment for a lock.
