Thursday 5th October Room 1W 3.15 Univ. Bath

Let us know if you are still having problems with library card for those registered with LHU

Those who are still with Univ. of Bath or other universities make sure you have logged on and registered – remember you have to renew you registration each year with the university whether or not you are embarking on a new module. You can do this online. If you have a problem contact the university immediately, do not delay!

We focussed on the writings of Tara, Michael and Tracey. We can continue the conversations responding to each other’s work as we can continue to learn from and with each other cooperatively in the virtual as well as the physical space. Please send us your writings and we will add them.

To develop our cooperative working when we cant all be present at each meeting can you please respond to people on the site. I suggest you write your thoughts in WORD then copy and paste – you then don’t run the risk of loosing work.

At our next meeting we will be working on extending our study skills and our critical engagement with the literature beginning with:
Whitehead, J. (1989) Creating a living educational theory from questions of the kind, "How do I improve my practice?'. Published in the Cambridge Journal of Education, Vol. 19, No.1,1989, pp. 41-52
You can access a copy from

There is a Learning to Research workshop for young people and educators Saturday 15th October, 9.30-1.00, Castle Primary School, Keynsham which we will be running (details attached). This is an opportunity for you to get going on your enquiry and deepen your understanding of living theory as a research process in practice. The workshop is for Y7-Y13 students and educators to learn cooperatively so do pass on details to other potentially interested parties. It would help us to make appropriate arrangements if you and others could drop a line to apex@bathnes.gov.uk to say you are intending to come. Young people will need to bring a parental consent form or their parents can complete one on the day. Registration from 9.15.

Do stay in touch through the site and/or by emails if you can’t get to meetings.
Jack and Marie
