Last Saturday we played our last match in the North Development League. It was a home game in Scourie v Strathspey who travelled up to play us. We played 9 asides and 40 minutes each way. It was a rocky start for KLB with Strathspey scoring in 43 seconds and again at the 5 minute mark but with great determinaton they took a goal back in the 13 minute via James Dorrian and then 4 minutes later equalised with a goal from KLB stalwart Oliver Feliz. KLB then really piled the pressure on, taking control of the game and at 23 minutes in Iain Allison hit the back of the net for the homeside. Strathspey however had a last minute push in the first half and Andy Hay claimed his hat trick 5 minutes before the half time whistle. The second half started positvely for KLB, Jack Hatherall scoring a fantastic goal followed by another from OLiver Feliz and again Jack found the target. Andy Hay from the Strath side was however on form and scored his fourth and fifth goals at 68 and 70 minutes. KLB had a couple of missed chances from James Dorrian and Kyle Clark but the team were jubilant when the final whiste sounded at 6-5 in their favour. It was a great game of shinty and a good end to the new Development League.
