Last Saturday 17 of us travelled to Inverness to watch the Camanachd Cup Final at the Bught Park in Inverness. Our shinty hreoes Fort William were playing against rivals Kingussie and hoped to win the cup for the fourth year in a row. Although the weather was terrible the crowd was in good spirits and the atmosphere was great. It was a tight game with the Fort 2-0 up after the first half but conceding 2 goals to Kingussie in the second half. As the end of the match neared the spectators were shouting frenzied support for their teams but a last gasp goal by Gary Innes clinched it for our favourites Fort William. After we watched them lift the cup we were lucky enough to get our pictures taken with Fort Captain, Niall McPhee and the Camanachd Cup. We all had a thoroughly great day out.
