Back in June several of our players were lucky enough to take part in a school trip to Canada. A 15 strong group travelled to Vancouver BC after an invitation was extended by the Vancouver Police as part of the Robert McBeath VC project. While there the pupils showed a presentation about our school and shinty was part of it. It was also talked about on lots of occasions with the Canadian pupils and to people we had met, the pupils were great ambassadors for their sport and country. We also presented a Kinlochbervie Camanachd shirt to Constable Jeff Campbell of the VPD who helped organise the amazing trip and was a huge hit amongst the group. It was a life changing experience for all the pupils involved and we hope that their will be a return visit in the future and maybe a wee game of shinty v the VPD!
