Kinlochbervie Gala day took place on the 18th July on a very wet miserable day, but despite the weather people turned out to support the committee and raise funds for the hall. The shinty club was there selling our keyrings and car signs and the boys tried to entice people down to beat the goalie but there weren't  many takers due to the rain. However the end of day shinty match did take place in the rain and mud and it was just a fabulous game of chaos and fun. Various locals and visitors were brave enough to make up the comminity team and took on KLB Camanachd. Needless to say our young players ran rings around their opponents and won the game 11-5 to lift the "Elrick & Gunn Exhibition Cup" for the second year. It was great fun and although completely soaked everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves, we've even converted a couple of rugby players to the game!
