I would like to congratulate all the lads who took part in the feile at the weekend on a terrific performance, they played there hearts out. On the way to the semi finals of the championship we beat Erin Go Bragh (warwicshire), St Kiernans (london),Ballymun Kickums (Dublin) and Castleblaney Faughs (Monagahan, last years winners) our only defeats came against the two finalists of the championship, Strabane sigursons (Tyrone) and the eventual winners Eire og (Carlow). Can i also congratulate the young ladies on their particapation and came away with a couple of victories in their first ever tounament. I would also like to thank all the host families for looking after the eire og lads, Julie Duffy for all her work and organisation, Jimmy for his help on the line ( "no Jimmy he's 23 and hasnt shaved in two weeks"), Steve Dillon and Shannon Rice for managing the ladies, Eddie McGinnity for the supply of the marquee, Phil Duffy as photograper and all the parents and supporters. ( its starting to sound like the oscars so better go) There will be a more in depth report on the matches in the next few days.Thanks to all once again.
