Our beach cabin is located on Mellon Udrigle beach, Wester Ross, on the North West coast of Scotland (see map to the right). Access is off a very quiet, dead end road, along a private track and through a very small, wild (no facilities) campsite. There are four other privately owned cabins along the track, widely spaced from each other. There is parking in front of the cabin for a couple of cars and from the front door you walk straight over the dunes onto the white sandy beach, easy peasy!

Our cabin sleeps six in double, twin and bunk bed rooms. Each room has a wardrobe and the double and bunk bed rooms also have a chest of drawers. The double and twin rooms have views out to the front, over the sea and the bunk bed room has views overlooking the hills to the back. All our double bedding and sheets are 100% cotton. For a discount you may choose to bring your own bedding.

The sitting room seats six with a couple of extra cosy blankets and cushions and has a wonderful view to the sea and mountains.  Comments in our guest book show that a wide range of wildlife from otters and dolphins, to minke whales and sea eagles are often seen. There is a smart television and a fast internet connection. The sitting room also has a dining table that can be easily extended to seat six comfortably. There are four chairs and a red bench seat, which can be pulled up to the table from the kitchen.

The kitchen has a window to the back and has also been opened up to the sitting room, to create a more open plan feel and to allow for the views to the sea to be seen. As well as the usual appliances of a kettle, toaster and microwave, our cabin features a halogen hob, electric oven, extractor fan and a dishwasher. Tea towels, oven gloves and dish cloths are all included in the price.

The bathroom comprises of a white suite and a shower over the bath, lots of hot water and a heated towel rail. There is plenty of storage and a non slip mat for in the bath. We also supply a hand towel and bath mat for the floor. Please note we do not provide bath towels.

The bedrooms are all carpeted to keep them cosy and the rest of the cabin has vinyl flooring to make keeping it clean and sand free easier. The cabin is heated by electric panels heaters except in the bathroom where there is a wall mounted heater and heated towel rail.

Outside the cabin there is a large decked area with a picnic table perfect for eating out. There is also plenty of grass and space for games, fun and enjoyment. At the back is an outside tap for rinsing off and a washing airer. Top tip - the back wall of the cabin is a real sun trap and gets very warm, perfect for an afternoon snooze if you are not on the beach.
