Magical Mixed Media - Jackie Garner
Have a day of fun exploring a variety of acrylic techniques, creating textured and patterned papers for use in collage or mixed media. There will be an opportunity to try mono-printing with a gelli-plate. The day will conclude with making a small landscape or abstract. Suitable for both beginners and more experienced artists. Suitable for all and there will be a small charge for materials to the tutor.

Christmas Cards and Decorations - Jackie Ginley
This is a fun class to get you started with your Christmas cards
and /or decorations. We will be using die cutting machines to
cut out and emboss flowers and foliage , and tools to shape
petals/leaves into 3D images. We will be learning how to
colour with ink pads to give depth to your creations.
Also how to incorporate natural fibres and stamens for
added interest. There will be a small charge to the tutor for materials.

Scraperboard —Jackie Cox
Scraperboard is a method of creating a tonal picture by scratching through a layer of india ink to reveal the white chalk beneath. We will explore the different types of scraperboard and scratchboard available and the different methods for making marks on these. We'll also look at the many other possibilities of using the white chalk ground and creating your own covering surfaces layers to then scratch through to reveal the initial white layer and further pushing boundaries in mixing media.
Materials will be provided at a cost of £10 (includes an Ampersand scratchboard)

Block printing on fabric - Christine Felce
Try your hand at fabric printing and design. Learn techniques you could use easily at home. During the course you will learn about simple block printing with fabric dyes as well as drawing and painting onto fabric squares You will be supplied with 4 x 25 cm by 25cm squares that could be sewn into a cushion cover. The course will look at repeat design you will have the opportunity to make your own block to take home and also use other blocks during the course. You can also bring your own T shirt or other material to create a design onto. Materials cost for the day £10 you will have a great time experimenting with repeat patterning, This course is suitable for all.

AMIGURUMI the skills that keeps on giving. If you are young, or not so young this session is for you.
Never held a hook? Fear not you soon will. This workshop will open up the world of Amigurumi to you. You will be able to make a variety of decorations and learn the skills to continue this craft at home.
Personalise the presents you give with a crocheted tag or add that something special onto a Christmas card ,to let those you love and care about know that a cards is not just for one Christmas.
