A really tough week on the carp fishing, the fish just seem to be stuck either over or around the deep water. Half term week saw success though for 13yr old Sam Walton with a 20lb 9oz and 18lb both mirrors off the double, and the only other fish recorded was a 18lb mirror for Jago Avey again off the double peg. Its well worth using a marker rod to find the deeper water rather than casting blind and fishing all day where the fish aren't there. Try pink popups or even a zig rig set mid water.
