About the walks

EYDOH Walks are usually on the North York Moors or in the Yorkshire Wolds, generally somewhere between 5 and 7 miles long, and are normally on the first Sunday of each month.

All walks start at 11 a.m, unless clearly stated otherwise, and we stop half way for a packed lunch.  Whenever possible we find a tea shop or pub to visit at the end of the walk.

We try to start walks promptly, particularly during the winter when the days are short, so please arrive at the meeting point at least 10 minutes early to allow for putting on boots, etc.

If you get held up on your way to an EYDOH meeting place, please phone Jackie on 07769 185081 to see whether the group will agree to wait for you.

All routes are checked before they're walked by the group and considered to be generally 'safe'. However, few leisure activities are completely safe - paths can sometimes be uneven or slippery and walkers are expected to behave sensibly and be responsible for their own personal safety. We are an informal group and walkers join us at their own risk.

Dates and brief details of upcoming walks can be accessed through the Walks Calendar tab and there's more detail, with photos when available, on the individual date tabs.

Detailed walk tabs are added as and when the details are finalised.  Walk DATES will be shown on the Calendar page even if the details are not available.

If you have any queries, please e-mail Jackie at eydoh@yahoo.co.uk
