Disappearance of Christie Organ Solved
Stephen Dutfield, who knows a thing or two about cinema pipe organs (he plays them too!) has written in with information about what happened to the Empire Christie organ.
It confirms what some thought and fills a few gaps in the story of what happened to Neath's only cinema organ.
The history of the Empire and its Christie organ would make an outstanding televison programme about a place of entertainment that will be soon gone for ever. We hope Stephen will tell his contacts at the BBC.
