Saturday April 13th Starting at 7:30pm

Kath's Big and Juicy Bingo!  Kath's Bingo is, we believe, the longest running regular bingo night on Earth!!  It's held about six times a year (see future dates below) in between Calvin's Big Fat Cubert Quizzes.  Your entry fee buys you a book of ten games with six cards per game.  The funds raised are shared equally between Cubert Church and the Cubert and Holywell Carnival Committee (CHCC).  Kath and the CHCC manage to find some pretty good prizes for the games ranging from a massive growbag of either fruit or vegetables through to vouchers for all sorts of things.  Above all, though, it's simply a great night out and we all have lots of fun.  It's bring your own drink and nibbles, by the way.  The Hall always gets busy on bingo night so be sure to get there by around 7pm for a strict 7:30pm start.

Saturday April 27th Evening Start TBC

Race Night.  The Cubert Primary School are organising a horsie race night at the hall to raise funds. Tickets are available from Londis now!  Should be a great night!

Saturday May 18th Open 7:15pm for 8pm Start

Elton John Tribute.  We are delighted to announce that Lee Quinney and his band will be performing as Elton John at our very own Village Hall.  The event is being organised by the Cubert and Holywell Carnival Committee and tickets are on sale in Londis now and are selling fast! (cash only please).  There will be a licenced bar.  For further information about this event please visit The Cubert & Holywell Carnival Committee's Facebook Page

Sunday May 26th Afternoon to early evening TBC

Picnic in the Park and Fun Runs  We are awaiting details for this year's Fun Runs and Picnic in the Park, but be rest assured it will include running and partying centred on the Church Field.  Let's just hope we have sunshine this year!  Look out for further information on local Facebook pages and there'll be plenty of posters on display around the parish.  Go to Cubert and Holywell Carnival Committee Facebook page for further details.  For further information about this event and how to take part in the races please visit the Cubert & Holywell Carnival Facebook Page.

Saturday 1st June Be there at 7pm

Performance begins at 7:30pm.

Murder Mystery.  Cubert Village Hall is horrified to present a fund-raiser evening of Murder and Mystery at the Village Hall.  Your ticket will secure you a pasty and a pudding and a place at the detectives' table as you attempt to solve a most dastardly crime (bring your own drink/poison etc).  The innocent and not so innocent characters are members of the Red Herrings performers from in and around South Gloucestershire, although one of their number, Roland, now lives in Holywell.  The hall always needs to raise money to fund maintenance and improvements and what better way to do this than to invite a murder to take place!

Tickets are NOW on sale at Londis/Post Office in Cubert.  They are £10 each and this price includes a pasty and a pudding.  Don't forget it's bring your own drink and side nibbles.  If you have a preference for a vegetarian or vegan pasty ring the telephone number on the ticket to speak to me, Calvin.

We think this event is going to be popular, so please don't delay in buying your tickets as the numbers are limited.

Saturday June 22nd Starting at 7.30pm

Calvin's Big Fat Cubert Quiz  Calvin's popular quiz nows attracts 10 to 14 teams each time.  The quiz begins with a fun True or False game to warm up the grey cells.  There's a prize draw and a bottle roll plus, two tabletop quizzes, a music round, a quick fire round and three further rounds of interesting questions.  Bring you own drink and nibbles.

Early December

Christmas Lights Switch-on.  This is the night that Father Christmas pays a special visit to the Parish to see the children in The Square.  He'll no doubt be handing out bags of sweets and giving it lots of "Ho,Ho,Ho's"!  There will be carols around the tree and then the festivities will carry on in the church.  Details to follow later in the year.

Please note that a large number of the above events are organised by the Cubert and Holywell Carnival Committee. Although we have tried our best to give accurate information we would advise you to check the details on their Facebook page and on the posters that appear before each event.
