The bothy is a traditional one-roomed stone building & is situated in the crofting township of Cuagach which is at the north end of the island overlooking Laig Bay with fine views of Rum.
It has 2 sleeping platforms (1 at each end of the room each with a double mattress) which are accessed by ladder. There is also a single bed & a single futon downstairs At one end is a multi fuel stove which heats the water for the kitchen sink & shower. Cooking is by calor gas stove (4 rings, oven & grill). All cooking utensils & crockery etc provided Off the main room is a small extension which houses toilet & shower. Electricity is provided by the islands renewables system & is shared with our own house. As the supply is limited, we are only able to provide lighting & battery charging ~ no hair dryers please. I don't provide any linen so bringing bringing sleeping bags & towels is essential
The bothy is basic with no modern appliances but is warm & comfortable.
Cost: £25 per night or £150 per week Coal extra
Taxi can be arranged if required
