Produce Fair 2009
The CAGS Produce Fair this afternoon (20 September) was a great success - we had 6 stalls selling a variety of veg, apples, cakes, jams and chutneys - and even garden tools - in aid of the society and other local good causes.
There was a good turn-out - to such an extent that although the Fair was due to run from 2.30 to 4.30 customers were arriving from 2pm onwards and we virtually sold out by 4pm. Everyone was really happy with the interest shown and the money raised - there were plenty of visitors to the area among the customers including one gentleman who was determined to take some Black Isle potatoes back to England with him.
The Society is very encouraged by this success and is planning to hold a similar event next year.
