New donations

Thanks to the generous donation of Ms Netta Titterton, the Heritage Trust is pleased to begin its archiving with five fascinating artefacts, ranging in age from the mid-nineteenth to the mid-twetieth century.

The donations included a charcoal-burning clothes iron and a patented Dr Nelson's Asthmatic Inhaler, both from the mid-ninteenth century. There was also a butter churn, originally from Kiloran Farm, a ceramic cream-skimmer and wooden butter pats.

The Heritage Trust is very grateful to Netta for her donation and looks forward to placing the artefacts in pride of place in the Port Mòr Visitors Centre

Photos of the artefacts can be seen below and also in the special album (Heritage Trust Artefacts) in our Photo Galleryasthmatic inhalercream-skimmerbutter churnbutter pats
