I have at times
Thought more impressive
And wonderful and perfectly
Brilliant thoughts than these
And brilliantly expressed
But did not at the time
Of thought
Have near me either pen
Or pad.
So those thoughts have left
For the limbo of
Lost potential and
‘Forgotten genius’
And all I have left
Is a feeling of regret
And this.
