Peter (Arden) Clay, was born on 28 October 1952 in Johannesburg, S Africa, the elder son of Ralph (Arden) Clay and Diana (Bridget) née Negus. 

He moved with his parents to Rhodesia in 1956, but came to England ahead of them in January 1965, at the age of 12. At the end of 1965 they left Rhodesia.

He was educated at The King's School, Bruton. He Studied BSc Mechanical Engineering at University of Portsmouth and then HND Business Studies at University of West of England. Entered a career in Commodity Trading and in 1990 was elected youngest ever Chairman of the London Rubber Trade Association (founded 1913). In 1991 moved to Malaysia to run Cargill Inc.'s Worldwide Latex trading Division.

In 1986 he married (Penelope) "Penny" (nee Hutson).  They met …. ???

Peter and Penny have three sons and a daughter :-

Jonathan was born on 11 July 1987 in London

Thomas was born on 22 May 1989 in London

Catherine Anne was born on 24 September 1992 in Kuala Lumpur, Born 24th September 1992 in Kuala Lumpur. She was christened at Twyford, Winchester.  She was educated a Twyford Prep School and then King Edward V1 School, Southampton.   In 2012 she started a 4 year MA degree at Bath University in European Studies with Spanish and Italian.   In summer 2013 she studied Italian for three weeks on Lake Guarda and then spent three weeks as an Au Pair in Spain brushing up her Spanish..

Charles Joseph was born on 6 March 1994 in Winchester

They were all educated at King Edward V1 School, Southampton.and proceeded to Russel Group Universities.

They lived in Winchester from 1993 to 2001. In 1994 they set up "The Arden Centre" in Winchester, but this was not commercially successful, and was closed down in 1996.

Peter went back to rubber-trading, as an agent for the Centrotrade Singapore (Part of Centrobank of Vienna), and in 2001 he set up a branch of Mail Boxes Etc (Franchisor United Parcel Service) in Southampton. The MBE Business was sold in 2011. Peter then continued to work at home as an agent for Centotrade. In January 2013 he was recruited by RCMA Group as a Marketing consultant for rubber trading and works three days a week in Amsterdam.

In his free time he keeps bees and continues to sail.

(Penelope) "Penny" nee Hutson

Penny (Penelope) "Penny" nee Hutson was born on ??? in ???, the only daughter of Lt Cmdr Ian Hutson & Hassel nee ??? of Sherborne, Dorset.  She was educated at ???

Penny trained as an Acupuncturist, and in 1984 gained MBac at ???.  In 2012 Penny was recognised by ??? as a Chinese Herbal Medicine Practitioner.
