Glynne (Herbert Charles) Clay, often known as "Chum", was born on 5 April 1931 in Penlyn, the middle son of Johnnie Clay and Mary née Homfray, He was educated at Winchester.  He was married on 29 November 1958 to Rosalie Lewin of Abergavenny, Monmouthshire.  They have two sons :-

Anthony John "Anto"                 was born on 2 September 1959.

Robin Ivor                                           was born on 19 June 1961.

(Rosalie) "Rose" née Lewin

Rose was born on 17 September 1936, the only shild of Lt.Col. Ivor Bellair Spencer Lewin of Wisborough Green, Sussex and Mary A. F. nee Morel, who were married in Marylebone on Q4 1935.

Rose's father Ivor was born in Ceylon in 1901, and died near Chichester in Q3 1977.

Rose's mother Mary was born in Q4 1913 in Richmond, the eldest of the three children of Ernest Lewin and Blanche nee Waland, who were married in Richmond in Q4 1907. 

Rose's birth was registered in Q3 1936 in Bridgend, and / or in Q4 1936 in East Glamorgan.
