John (Alexander) Clay, was born on 24 August 1922 in Slocan, B.C., the only son of (John) Owen Clay  and Selina (Margaret) Martin.  He was married aged 30 on 7 June 1952 in Regina, Canada, to Ruth Thomson.  They have four children ;-

Ian                               was born on 27 February 1954.

Eileen                          was born on 17 November 1955 in Victoria, Canada, and was married at 25 on 4 July 1981 at Centennial United Church, Victoria B.C. to (Wayne) Douglas Holland, who was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Gordon                         was born on 19 June 1957.

Frances                        was born on 3 September 1962 in Victoria B.C.

They lived in Victoria, B.C.

Ruth née Thomson

Ruth was born on 5 January 1925 in Sark, but moved later to Regina, Canada.
