1233211 Cecil Buchanan 1871-1943

Cecil (Buchanan) Clay was born on 12 May 1871 in Upper Norwood, the elder son of Bonham Clay and Florence née Buchanan.  He was married on 22 August 1911 in Christ Church, Colombo to Charlotte Edith Marian Bayley.  They had a daughter :-

Joan Mary Bonham Clay        was born in 1915 (4 September 1918 ?). She married (Cecil) Ivor Clarke (1905 – May 1986) in the New Forest in Q2 1936. They had two sons, Michael and Timothy. She ded in Chichester in 1990.

Cecil died on 6 March 1943 in Lymington at the age of 71.

Charlotte Edith Marian Bayley

Charlotte was born on 3 February 1874 in Balham, Surrey, the daughter of Francis Albert Bayly (1842–1911) and his wife Maria Rosina Beeching (July 1848 – 20 February 1927).  Charlotte died on 8 September 1962 agd 88.
