Camuscross man Iain MacKinnon is also taking part in an epic maritime challenge this summer.  He is part of a team who will row a replica currach across the Irish sea to commemorate an even more distant historical event than the voyage of the Viking ship the Havhingsten.  They will be replicating the voyage of St Columba who travelled by currach from Ireland to bring Christianity to Scotland in 563AD
