All members and Friends of Camuscross & Duisdale Initiative have been notified about an EGM on 15th December 2009 at 7.30pm in An Talla Dearg, Isle Ornsay.  If you aren't already a member, and live in Camuscross, Cruard, Duisdale or Isle Ornsay, why not come along and join on the night? 

The purpose of the EGM is to change three of the memoranda and articles.  Two are required by OSCR, the Scottish Chairities regulator so that we can be granted charitable status and the third will be added so that we can avoid very costly annual accounting audits.

All residents are then invited to attend a presentation by Senior Engineer, Stuart Hamilton of Renewable Devices Energy Systems at 8pm.  This will present the results of the feasibility study into the potential of Allt Duisdale Reservoir to be used to generate hydro electricity.  The study looks very promising, and shows that although it will require a bit of funding, that the project could generate a small but useful annual income for the community. 

This has never been a better time to get funding for community renewable energy projects, so we are hopeful that we could find the funding required to develop the project.

We hope that everyone will come to the meeting to find out about the proposed project before deciding how to vote in the community ballot on whether to go ahead with buying the reservoir.
