We will soon know what price we would have to pay for Allt Duisdale Reservoir. We were successfully in registering an interest in land using the Land Reform Scotland Act - also known as the Community Right to Buy. CKD Galbraith is the company that has been appointed by the Scottish Government to value the reservoir.
We met the valuer and a representative of Scottish Water and all trudged up the steep hill to survey the reservoir on a wild day with some torrential showers. We then got the chance to point out why the reservoir shouldn't cost too much, and the Scottish Water respresentative tried to persuade that it should!
We've now made written representation to Sarah Tyson of CKD Galbraith and Scottish Water is no doubt doing the same. We will hear what price has been placed on the reservoir by 4th December - and that is the amount we will have to find. We will have until the beginning of April to find that money. Somehow.
