The village will soon have its own community tent after Camuscross Community Steering Group submitted a successful application to  02's It's Your Community grant.

Committee members scoured the countryside looking for tents, marquees and gazebos they could borrow for the highly successful Crofters Olympics in August.  Now they will be able to organise outdoor events whenever they like, without having to call on people's generosity - and will also be able to hire the tent out to other organisations and businesses.

With the £1,000 grant and some of their own funds, the group will be able to buy an ex-army marquee.  The first event they plan is a party to celebrate winning the award!
