After two days of tremendous rain showers the green had recovered sufficiently for play to take place. The skies were blue and the sun shone brightly to help thirty odd members celebrate the 2016 season in fine style with the final game of the year. The format for the annual Presidents v Vice Presidents game was three full rinks of play over ten ends (with a refreshment break after five).  There were three fully contested games but the President’s select was in top form (on two of the rinks) and they presented their team captain with a fine victory.

The year is not finished, however, as the Presentation night has still to take place on 29th inst. This is in addition to a celebratory night for our Top 6 champions  and our League champions. The first of this winter season’s cabaret evenings is this Saturday, 8th Oct, and this will be followed by a full programme of events when we hope to see as many members as possible supporting our hard working social committee.
