The seniors had a real bad day in the league when they lost full points away to Clarkston on Monday but with some other unexpected results we find ourselves only 3 points behind the new leaders, Airdrie, who took full points off last weeks leading club.

On Tuesday night the Div 2 team played their last game in the current league season. Needing 6 points in our game against Glengowan to ensure we won the leaague, or 5 pts to guarantee second place, we suffered a disappointing 7-0 defeat. Our 2nd spot (and promotion) depends on other results in tonight's games but with things very tight at the top we can only wait to hear from the league secretary. Meanwhile we congratulate Glengowan in their success as league 2 champions.

On Wednesday we played our 2nd game in this year's Laney Triples competition when Airdrie were our opposition. At Airdrie one triple lost narrowly and the other had a comfortable win while at Caldercraig both our triples won so we progress to the next round.

On Thursday in the district semi-final of the LBA Top Six we were at home against Glengowan. It was a very close game but we managed to win through with last bowl victories for our Singles and Triples.

There is still no news of the final placings in the Div 2 league. We still await confirmation of the results of the games played on Tuesday.

Seniors who have entered for the Dan Turner comp[etition to be played on Sunday are reminded that they should be at the green by 1.00pm for a prompt start to the competition at 1,30pm.

On Friday evening both Lanarkshire League teams were away from home. Div 4 travelled to Shettleston where there were three closely contested games with the home team winning two to our one. The second team were at Overtown & Waterloo where they had a similar result. Players should note that the next league games will be played next Wednesday, 13th July.

Janie Kyle had an excellent game in the District Singles semi final of the LWBA championships but she lost by only 2 shots.
