On Monday afternoon the senior league team shared the points with their hosts Airdrie. In the evening Jim Purves had to battle two difficult opponents when he played in the semi final of the BS singles at Calderbank. The poor green and the plucky Coatdyke champion prooved to be too much of a challenge and ended our hopes of having a gents competitor at Northfield this year.

Tuesday: Our three members in the triples, Ian Chisholm, Dave McIntyre & John McHutchison overcame the boys from Holytown in a high scoring and competitive match in the LBA District Final at Calderbank and secured our clubs continued participation in our quest for Lanarkshire honours.
