Club Results week ending Sat 4th June

On Monday the seniors started off the week  in fine style by winning both games at home against Calderbank and gaining 4 points and +10 shots.

In the evening the five players selected to play in the re-arranged Millennium Singles journeyed to Motherwell BC and came away with a good win by 3-2.

On Tuesday evening both teams were away from home in the A&C Bowling Leagues. The Div 1 team were at Coatdyke where they hit top form and collected the full 7 points. The 2nd Division team found it a bit harder at West End but they dug deep and came away with a 5-2 victory. The ladies had a much tougher task in their game at Glengowan but did manage to come away with 2 points.

On Thursday afternoon our Senior Rink travelled to Coatbridge where they faced a Gartsherrie rink. It was a tight and closely contested district semi final of the County Senior rink competition and the opposition took the lead in the first end and never lost it even altyhough our lads competed well and still had a chance to win at the last end but a one shot victory was enough to see the Gartsherrie rink progess to next week's final. In the evening it was the turn of our only remaining contestants to try and reach the district finals of the championships. Our triples were drawn against Coatbridge at Springwells and they had a very exciting and ultimately successful game which went to an extra end. They will be back in action next Tuesday evening when their opponents are the successful triple from Holytown. Come along and give our boys your support.
