The final against Bellshill & Mossend was played in perfect early summer weather conditions on Dalzell Bowling Club green this afternoon. The boys who had played so well in overcoming the opposition in the previous three rounds just could not repeat their fine efforts and had to concede that the Bellshill team were the best on the day. It was a dissappointing end but our club should be encouraged that we did get to this stage of the competition for the first time in our history and it bodes well for the forthcoming Lanarkshire Leagues season.
