"Confessions of an Astronomer"

Join us for a light-hearted and personal look at the life of a professional astronomer. This lavishly illustrated talk by Prof Ian Robson from the Royal Observatory Edinburgh, contains amusing and exciting anecdotes (including escapades in cable car in the Pyrenees, flying in an RAF Comet above the North Sea at 45,000ft and many exploits in Hawai), and also covers a wide range of astronomy without the use of a single equation!

Refreshments will be served after the presentation and if weather permits there will also be the opportunity to look through CAG telescopes at Mars, Saturn and other objects of interest in the autumn night sky.

Children are very welcome if accompanied by a parent or guardian.
