Our Lockdown project - a 'sitootery' from half a boat.

The boat was called Tess and sat on the links for years. It was going to be destroyed when they built the cinema but we saved it for posterity (Cromarty Rowing Club has a second skiff named Tess in memory of the owner of this boat who sadly passed a couple of years ago).

The seating was made from an old bench, the legs of which had rotted, and some wood from a pallet. Bottom left of the photo is a bridge over a stream where the arms of the bench were also up-cycled to make the balustrade.

The back half of Tess used to create a different kind of seating area. Enclosed by a beech hedge and in-filled with grasses to evoke the sea.
