Philip Cummings has been central to all that has happened at Peverel.

Had his directorships been terminated earlier, it could have been seen that it was part of a genuine attempt to get rid of the "old guard".

That it has happened so late and only after the publicity given to the price fixing scandal, suggests a "distance ourselves" defence from Peverel.
