Olave wrote her diary from 1900 to 1977 - that is 78 books - luckily they are quite small. So far, I have scans only of 1921-1949 and 1973 to 1977 - that's 33, so not quite half.
And that's 33 times 12 = 396 months that I have so far, out of a total of 78 x 12 = over 900 files. These are being transcribe month by month. So far, I have about 60 done, but it is quite time-consuming.
The only full year done so far is 1923 - Thank you, Derek ! - and that can be found here as a "sample".
If you are transcribing, here are some Guidelines.
Put your text into a file called "Year Month" e.g. "1944 07", as a .txt file, or .doc, or whatever you prefer. Most seem to be using WORD.
Use that same name for the Subject of your email sending it to me.
Start your text file with :-

The important bit is to just transcribe everything - convert image to text. What she wrote just goes as plain text.
Add whatever you like by way of explanation, or Links, but
YOUR text MUST be between [SQUARE] brackets
(which she never used.
Any word you can't decipher, just put [?] for EACH word.
Please be aware that some pages LOOK empty, but may have a faint pencil entry.
Leave an empty line after each day.
Put the full date (but only three letters) on a separate line before the text.
If she puts a place name at the top, that is where she wrote her diary / spent the night, so put that there too, roughly in the middle - don't use "Tabs", use spaces.
If she doesn't put a place, please make a guess as to where she spent the night AFTER the day she has just described, and put it in [square brackets]

ONLY THREE LETTERS
If there is no entry, put [Page left blank] in square brackets.
EVERY page MUST be shown ! Otherwise the reader would suspect censorship !
If she runs on to the next page, put . . . at the end of the firat page, then contiiue the text on the next page starting with . . .

Anything else is a luxury ! And can follow any time.
These diaries have lain dormant for over 45 years, so NO hurry !
