Richard (Henry) Clay, was born on 4 February 1977 in Leamington Spa, the only son of Jeremy (Arden) Clay (see page 77) and Susan née Chapman.  He was educated at Eton, from 1989-94.

Richard worked for Deloitte, 199?? To ???, and then for Ernst Young, ???? - ???, before moving to Barclays in ????.

On 17 August 2004, then aged 27, he married Phoebe nee Griffith, then aged ??? at ???, Oxford.  They have four children:-
