Harold (Bonham) Clay was born on 3 March 1883 in Eastbourne, the son of (Jospeh) Bonham Clay and Florence (Anna) Buchanan. In the 1891 Census he was living in Surrey, but in 1895 his parents emigratd with him to Canada - he was in Montreal in 1901 and 1911,
In December 1922 he married Helen Frances O'Malley (see below). They had a daughter and a son:-
Hester (Frances Bonham) was born on 4 October 1920. On 14 June 1946 in Kensington she married Eric Alan George (1920–2004). They had a son, Richard Charles Bonham George (1948–2005). Hester died on 25 June 2012.
John (Bonham) Clay was born on 26 January 1928
Harold died on 1 March 1958 in London.
There is a "Family Oral Tradition" that John was the only son of Harold (Bonham) Clay and one Hellen Ridler Davies. However . . NO substabtiation has been found. Certainly, there is a woman of that name - but married to someone else.

Helen Frances nee O'Malley
Helen was born on 22 September 1900 in Canada, the daughter of William James O'Malley (29 September 1852 – 1918) and Sarah Ann O'Brien Chevallier (1858 – 1939).
Helen died on 23 May 1952 in London.
