On 31 October, the Board of Care in Strathnairn accepted the resignation of Duncan Henry as Coordinator.  He had been in post for the past couple of years and the work he has done for us is very much appreciated.  However, with a change in the structure of the Board, he felt that the time had come for him to give up this job.

That leaves Derek Rose - till now our Handyman - with some new responsibilities and a new title!  He is now our Community Liaison Officer - as well as our Handyman.  He continues to be available as he has always been, with a few extras - like home security inspections - added on.  (See additional Services page)  From now on he will be the point of contact for handyman services, as well as Friendship Group outings.  His phone numbers are:  01463 772240 or 07800 796106.

Please feel free to contact him whenever you have a need.  If he cannot help you himself, he will help organise an appropriate local tradesman for you.  And if you'd like to join the Friendship Group on their outings, again, just get in touch with Derek.  They meet every 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month, and go round and about Inverness - whenever the group has agreed to go.  (A programme of possible outings for the New Year will be added to this news page when it is ready.)
