19/9/10  Wythall 6 - Wychall 0 (cup)

A windy day and a poor pitch, we were playing up hill and into the wind in the first half.  Everyone worked hard and battled well, but a speculative lob from 25 yards out beat Luke and with another shot coming back off the post straight to a Wythall forward we were 2-0 down at half time.

The second half was much more even and we created some good chances, but a dubious penalty and another speculative effort that rolled in at the far post ended our chances of gaining something.  We battled on to try and stay in the cup, taking chances at the back and, whilst we dominated the latter stages, we got caught on the break twice and ended up with an undeserved 6-0 defeat.

Everyone tried hard and on another day (hopefully next Sunday!) we could have got something.

Now we can concentrate on the other cup next week and with the same opposition it is our chance for revenge, especially in our new lucky Inter Milan kit!

26/9/10  Wychall 2 - Wythall 0

We did it!  Same opposition only a week later and victory.

Great performance by everyone with an amazing first half goal by Phil setting the tone of the game and we worked hard to more than match the opposition who were left struggling to match our effort.

A second half goal by Huss ensured there was more comfort and whilst Wythall created some chances, the defence held strong and we earned a deserved victory.

17/10/10  Wychall 2 - Bromsgrove Town 0

First league game = First league victory! Later points lost as they withdraw from league!!

We have sent out a message to the rest of the league as an almost full squad played (get better for next week Jay) and dominated the game against a top team.

Composed goals by both Tom (head) & Phil (foot) earned a deserved victory which was hard fought.  Everyone worked hard, but we also showed excellent passing and movement as chances were created throughout the game.

24/10/10  Wychall 1 - Bordesely Rovers 6

Defeat to the league leaders.

31/10/10  Wychall 1 - Olton Ravens 2

Unfortunate defeat against mid table team.

6/2/11  Kings Heath Concorde 3 - Wychall 3

A hard fought game on a very windy day, we battled well to recover and gain a late goal to salvage a point.

13/2/11  United Colours 3 - Wychall 1

On a wet and windy day, a poor first half was dominated by the referee.  We battled back in the second half but were unable to recover and a hard fought game ended in an undeserved defeat.

20/2/11  Greenlands 4 - Wychall 6

What a game!  A confident start where a 2-0 lead quickly evaporated into being 3-2 behind by half time, after some defensive mistakes.  After battling back to 3-3 we fell behind again, only to score 3 in the final 8 minutes for a well deserved victory that should have been easier!  Well done on our first victory, lets hope they do not fold!

06/03/11  Olton Ravens 3- Wychall 4

Another game where we make it hard for ourselves.  We lacked conviction and were second to every ball, trailing1-0 at half time and then 3-1 in the second half, before a spirited spell of 10 minutes saw us worry and overpower their defense as we attacked down both wings and used Phil's pace well.  We moved quickly into a 4-3 lead and then worked hard to close out the game and achieve our second victory in a row.  Well done lads, but a normal easy win would be nice!

13/03/11  Solihull Juniors 1 - Wychall 4

After yet another a slow start, Wychall were 1-1 at half time, but came alive in the second half after the need for another motivational half time team talk.  We went on and scored 3 more goals to come out with another good victory to record our third straight victory and score 14 goals in 3 games.  Well done lads for another strong second half!

27/03/11  Wychall 2 - Church Hill United 0

Wow!  What a game!!  We played a team third in the division above, but totally dominated the match and looked like we were the team in the higher division.

We were the stronger team in the first half, but it took us until the second half before our dominance became goals.  A great break and superb cross by Phil was perfectly head home by Luke Hussey.  Then after we survived a goal mouth scramble and Tom hit the bar, we managed a second after some great work by Jay on the right and another perfect cross was this time headed home by Phil.  The second goal made life easier, but Church Hill created no more chances and we easily saw out the game to a victory.

Now let's move up the league and get a top half finish.

And then the FINAL!!!

03/04/11  Wychall 2 - United Colours 1

Another strong performance by the whole team who played well and we were the better team, gaining a deserved victory.  A good team goal finished by Josh in the first half and a cross finished from close range by Phil meant we were always in control.  Conceding a goal with the last kick of the game was disappointing for the defence, but another win means we have gone six games unbeaten!!  Well done lads.

 07/04/11  Wychall 9 (nine) - Solihull Juniors 1

What a performance, the whole team performed from the first minute to the last, with a dominant passing display giving us a 5-0 lead at the break.  We continued to play well in the second half with numerous scorers taking us to 9-0 before a late miss hit shot stopped the defence getting a deserved clean sheet.  That is six games unbeaten and a fantastic run.

10/04/11  Bordesley Rovers 3 - Wychall 1

Our unbeaten run ended by the (now) league champions.  A hard game where both teams struggled to create chances as the defences dominated.  We worked hard and battled, but fell behind in the first half and conceding a second after the break made it very difficult.  A late goal from Sam brought us a chance of a result, but a last minute break saw us lose for the first time in two months.  Now for another unbeaten run to secure third place and cup victory!

17/04/11  Wychall 2 - Kings Heath Concorde 2

We started slowly and were second to the ball, falling 2-0 down and it could have been more.  A goal just before half time gave us some hope and we were much improved in the second half, with a good finish from Huss getting us level.  With plenty of time left, both teams created chances, but we earned a hard fought draw as we close in on third place.
