Fun Palaces Community Project
This summer I was asked by Fun Palaces (Local People Sharing Skills) to create a project that would bring the people in my community together. As I had established a WhatsApp group with my neighbours at the start of lockdown, I decided to make a wallhanging featuring a view of the many local landmarks that can be seen from our street in Inverness. I invited my neighbours to pick a favourite flower and then filled the foreground with a flurry of felted flora.
You can see the finished project here. The wallhanging is now hanging in Eden Court theatre, in Inverness, where it can be seen from outside, (as we are still in lockdown), in a window opposite the tennis courts.
