The Wollaton Village & Park Conservation Society was formed in 1968 in the face of threatened "redevelopment" of the historic village square - which happily was averted.

Over the years the Society has many achievements to celebrate - the restoration of the 16th century dovecote is just one.

Researching local history has become an important part of the Society's work, and in 2011 we've changed our name to reflect this. Now we're the "Wollaton Historical & Conservation Society".

A series of talks and presentations are being held on the 4th Wednesday of every on the October 2011 to April 2012 (not December). Please see the CALENDAR for full details.

Wednesday 26th October "St Leonard's Church, Wollaton".

This talk will take place in St Leonard's church itself when Malcolm Stacey, a well known local historian and expert on the history of the church, will tell us about the original building of St Leonard's, recent renovation work, on-going conservation and plans for the future.
