Welcome to Whispers from the Caledonian Pines. This site will be mostly about things it will be impossible to write about fully or explain properly. Psychogeography, Weird History, Strange Connections, Lost Dreams, Coincidence, Luck, Chance and the invisible threads that seem to connect disparate places, people and times in my own and other people's lives.

Sometimes weird flashes come through into our lives, like lightning-bolts of deja-vu or a distinctly odd feeling that there is something just outside one's knowing which is going on.... Maybe sometimes we have a fleeting chance to peer beyond the veil, to catch a glimpse or sense or feel the strange connections, to see some of the hidden picture, but mostly it is all subsumed into the background hum...That awkward feeling of Amnesia and Deja-Vu which arrive simultaneously. Or that sense of something just beyond your grasp, sight or hearing...  that feeling that you have been in a place before... but you know you haven't.

Some entries are short essays, others aree logs of journeys and others form a series of strange chronologies. Feel free to comment or add any suggestions, this will open up new pages which are currently hidden to the casual browser. I have no agenda and offer no explanations. I merely describe the experiences.
